Please be advise that the ALBERNI MX TRACK IS CLOSED INDEFINITELY. During our practice day, silts managed to get thru the settling ponds and hay bails and got down stream into a salmon bearing stream...our landlord Island Timberlands has closed the track and suspended the lease until further investigation can be done...PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD, ABSOLUTELY NO BIKES ON THE TRACK, NOT EVEN PASSING THRU...

 

We are working with Island Timberlands and an environmental company to put contingency plans in place and implement the recommendations of the environmental company.  We don't know how long this process will take so we beg you to PLEASE BE PATIENT and DO NOT RIDE THE TRACK.  If bikes are caught on the track, we will most certainly lose our lease for good.

 

We will keep you posted as new information comes available.

Jeff Stites was the winner of the Canadian Kawasaki Motors $1500 cetificate off the price of a new Kawasaki motocrosser.

Jeff won the Vet Master class on Sunday after a lay off from racing.

Congratulations Jeff and many thanks to Canadian Kawasaki Motors for their generosity.

Thanks go out to our Executive who helped in preparation of our race weekend. The event ran like clockwork and I believe there were no delays, hiccups or worse on the day. Our supporters, corporate sponsors, flaggers, first aiders, helpers, groomers and last but not least the riders themselves. Thanks also to our commentator and our young vocalists Andrew Ringdahl and his daughter.

Some great riding was evident and we have a lot of skilled Pro's and some new blood coming through the system snapping at the established stars heels, you all played a significant part in making the event one to be proud of.

No major injuries occured, for which we were thankful.

We look forward to the next, our BC qualifier, with lessons learnt and more improvements to our track and facilities.
