The class structure will be: Trail Bikes, ATV, Ladies, Vet’s +40 & +50, Beginner and Advanced. Depending on the number of entries the tower staff will decide what constitutes a beginner or an advanced racer. That gives us 16 races and time permitting a final. The final will be a prize money race. It must be emphasised that this is a fun race, no championship points to race for, no glory just good old dirt biking fun. Hopefully it will sow the seeds for new competitors to the sport and boost flagging gates. |

The club will be holding a Fun Race on Saturday the 21st August. This is primarily a way of allowing local riders who do not normally race their Motocross bikes and trail bikes a cost effective way of taking part in a competitive race. The event will consist of short races on a shortened track. Each class will get two four lap Moto's. There will then be - time permitting, a fjnal race which will have a Le Mans start.
It will be aimed at large wheel classes, however if numbers dictate otherwise then small wheel classes wil be catered for. ATV and a trail bike class are permitted, there will also be a +50 class.
The event is not a CMRC race, no licence is required. The event will be limited to the first 100 entrants. Race entries are $25/class.
The tower will open at 3.00pm for race entries, practice at 4.00pm and racing will start at 5.00pm. A concession will be available and the track will be available on Sunday as usual for Practice.
The track will be closed from Thursday 19th August for grooming and watering.

The display at the Canada Day celebration in Campbell River was a huge success. Over 80 information packs were given out and lots of candy and freebies. People were very interested and many said they had allways intended to get to the races, hopefully now more of them will. A great effort by the Executive, lead by Monique with thanks to Tim, Andy, Elaine and the kids.
